Albanian Diaspora Business Chamber is proud to welcome our newest member- DAMEN SHIPYARDS!

The Albanian Diaspora Business Chamber (ADBC) is proud to welcome our newest member, the DAMEN SHIPYARDS. Damen is a family-owned business that stands for fellowship, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and stewardship. Damen is an international shipyard group, which was founded in 1927 in The Netherlands by the Damen family. While the headquarter and the heart of the company remained in The Netherlands, under the leadership of its chairman Mr. Kommer Damen, the group expanded internationally and at present counts of 34 shipyards across the five continents. This internationally well-known company provides maritime solutions to meet these opportunities, through design, shipbuilding, ship repair, and related services.

Damen Shipyards is not unknown to Albania. Mr. Frank de Lange, Sales Director for North, West and South Europe, knows Albania very well has a special feeling for the country. Under his leadership, in 2009, Damen Civil started activities in the design and construction of a new production shed as well as repairs to a pre-existing slipway system and the training of 70 yard personnel in our country. It delivered all required materials and equipment to the project, including the pneumatic and electrical systems. In addition to providing training to yard personnel, Damen Civil also trained the local construction workforce in order for them to undertake the project under Damen’s direction.

Welcome to ADBC, Damen Shipyards!
